Annual figures that have been published by the PSNI reveal that almost 5,000 crimes were recorded in the Fermanagh and Omagh area in the 2015/16 financial year.

The statistics show that a total of 4,998 crimes were recorded in Fermanagh and Omagh between April 1, 2015 and March 31, 2016, representing a slight rise of 1.3 per cent on the figures for the preceding 12-month period.

The local figure of 4,998 over the 12-month period means that, on average, between 13 and 14 crimes were recorded every day in the Fermanagh and Omagh area in 2015/16.
